College Kottayam secured First prize (Wetland day Celebration 2019) Invited talk by Dr. C. Sathishkumar, well-known orchid biologist and taxonomist of TBGRI, Palode, Trivandrum (Botany Association Meet) Workshop on ‘Botanical illustrations and Herbarium Techniques’ 21 st and 22 nd Nov 2018. World Wet Land Day celebration 2019 at Botany Department, Govt. College Kottayam

On the occasion of World Wetland Day 2019, the Department of Botany, Govt. College Kottayam has organised a program to create awareness about the importance of wetland ecosystem. The program was sponsored by Kerala State Council for Science and Environment. The program comprises of Topic discussion, Essay writing competition and power point contest on the theme "Wetlands and Climate change"
